Responsibilities:
Assists pharmacists in various pharmaceutical activities to include the preparation and distribution of medications, the maintenance of drug inventory, patient records and financial records.
Works only under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills/
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredMinimum of one (1) year of hospital experience to include experience with automated dispensing machines, IV admixture service (including TPN compounding) preferredLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification from Texas State Board of Pharmacy is requiredCurrent National Pharmacy Technician Certification is requiredBLS through the American Heart AssociationAbout the Company:
